Stay Homas, Balkan Paradise Orchestra and Molotov delight fans on second night of Cruïlla
Barcelona festival will see likes of Duran Duran, Juan Luis Guerra and Tanxugueiras on Friday and Saturday
Headline acts including Barcelona's very own lockdown sensations, the Stay Homas, as well as Balkan Paradise Orchestra or Mexico City rock band Molotov delighted fans on the second night of the Catalan capital's Cruïlla festival.
The Stay Homas presented 'Here2Play', their new mixtape, in addition to performing some of the songs that shot them to fame during the initial pandemic confinement – or "confination."
Barcelona-based Balkan Paradise Orchestra's ten wind and percussion musicians had the crowd dancing to Eastern European beats at the beginning of the night.

Music fans still have another two nights of Cruïlla ahead: Friday, with performances from legendary new wave band Duran Duran, US rock musician and White Stripes frontman Jack White, or Spain Eurovision hopeful Rigoberta Bandini, and Saturday, with Dominican Grammy Award winner Juan Luis Guerra or Galicia's Tanxugueiras.
Back after pandemic-affected version last year
Last year, Cruïlla was one of the very few music festivals that went ahead despite the pandemic, but did so with tight restrictions, such as the obligatory use of face masks at all times when not consuming food or drink. Additionally, organizers tested all attendees for Covid-19 every day of the festival.
The festival came under criticism for struggling to ensure that all visitors complied with these rules at a time when a new wave of the pandemic was taking off last summer.
