Peggy Gou, Eric Prydz, Four Tet, and Skrillex headline Sónar 2025
Honey Dijon, Armin van Buuren, BICEP, Barry Can't Swim and Indira Paganotto complete lineup of Barcelona's electronic music festival
Peggy Gou, Eric Prydz, and Four Tet are just a few of the many international DJs playing at Sónar, Barcelona's biggest electronic music festival, next summer.
Organizers unveiled the event lineup, which will be held from June 12 to 14 on Thursday morning, with a 3-minute video where large excavators and construction machinery dance to the rhythm of the Catalan traditional music genre 'Sardanes.'
Sónar will also have sets by Skrillex b2b Blawan and Armin van Buuren b2b Indira Paganotto as part of the over 60 proposals first confirmed for next year's edition that will accompany BICEP, Barry Can't Swim, and Honey Dijon, who has already been in Barcelona's Brunch Electronik in the past.
Plastikman, one of the aliases of British-Canadian electronic musician and DJ Richie Hawtin, will return in 2025 with the first show in over a decade under this alias.
One of the novelties this year will be a concert on Thursday, June 12, at the Palau de la Música concert hall featuring New York's composer Steve Reich's works and Barcelona award-winner composer Raquel García-Tomás.
Another big name in this edition will be Nathy Peluso, the Argentinean-Spanish singer who will release her new album, 'Grasa,' for the first time in Spain.
The festival will also feature unique shows such as Rone with the collective (LA)HORDE and the National Ballet of Marseille, Raül Refree with Niño de Elche, or Dania & Mau Morgó.
Tickets for the festival, which will take place in Barcelona from June 12 to 14, are on sale at a reduced price, which will increase on Sunday.
There will also be a "never before seen" collaboration between Actress and Suzanne Ciani, commissioned by Sónar and London's Barbican Center.
This year, Sónar+D will reflect on the fundamental role of technology, its social impact, and its potential to modulate art, entertainment, and our daily lives.
As usual, Sónar will be divided into two different sites, with the Sónar by Day taking place at Montjuïc exhibition halls and the Sónar by Night happening at the Fira de Gran Via exhibition halls in Hospitalet de Llobregat. In 2026, all the events will be held in Hospitalet due to the centenary-anniversary refurbishment of Montjuïc halls.
