Sagrada Família towers completion celebrations kick off with concert
Barcelona's local band pays tribute to mix of nature, faith and art represented by the basilica
The Sagrada Família has a special November ahead, since the Barcelona's famously unfinished basilica is celebrating the completion of two more of its 18 towers.
The programme began this Saturday at 11 am, with the Catalan capital's local band playing a concert in the church, in which the mix of nature, faith and art represented by the site were honored.
Banda Municipal de Barcelona performed 'Entre el cel i la Terra', or 'Between the sky and the Earth', a show directed by José Rafael Pascual-Vilaplana.
The recently completed two towers are those depicting Evangelists Matthew and John, and they were crowned with the statues in late September.
What's left
This means that all four towers honoring the four Evangelists are now finished. With eight of the twelve towers representing each Apostle and another one paying tribute to the Virgin Mary also done, only five are now left: four of them for each of the remaining Apostles, and the tallest one, a 172.5 meter structure honoring Jesus.

November 12, big day for Sagrada Família
The concert held on Saturday is just the warming up session for the biggest day to mark the milestone: on November 12, a service will be held by cardinal Joan Josep Omella at 5:30 pm as he blesses the towers.
Following the service, Sagrada Família will light up its four Evangelist towers for the very first time, including the new ones depicting Matthew and John.
