Robbie Williams visits Barcelona to unveil new art exhibition
Moco Museum Barcelona presents 18 new creations about mental health by English singer
Robbie Williams' latest art exhibition, "Confessions of a Crowded Mind" is officially open to public visitation in the Ciutat Vella Moco Museum.
'Confessions of a Crowded Mind', is Williams' first exhibition in Barcelona, and will be featuring 17 artworks that explore themes of mental health and self acceptance.
Using a mix of text and imagery, the British icon aims to encourage audiences to confront their fears through self-expression and a collective acceptance of the imperfection of being human.
As one of the most decorated musical artists of his generation, William's recent art explores aspects of himself that he felt were not always suited for public scrutiny throughout his career.
Williams wants to inspire others to channel their fears and anxieties into creativity, which he himself uses on a daily basis to navigate life in the public eye.
Upon his arrival in Barcelona, Williams said he was "very proud" of the exhibition and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to exhibit in a city "full of life and art."
"Barcelona has offered me a lot of compassion and a lot of love, and the best audience I had on my last tour," he said.
With the opening of Confessions of a Crowded Mind, Williams looks to express his creativity through a survey of his innermost worries, wonders, and intrusions.
For Williams, this exhibition is a way to inspire others to channel their fears into creativity and create an open dialogue surrounding the tangled relationship between head and heart.
'Confessions of a Crowded Mind' is Williams´s second attraction in a series exploring themes of mental health alongside Moco Museum.
Williams first art installment, 'Pride and Self Prejudice' took place in the Moco Museum Amsterdam location and attracted more than 100,000 visitors.
With his second art installment taking place in Barcelona, Williams looks to expand his message of mental health to a larger audience while giving longtime fans an opportunity to make a closer connection to his art.
