Relive Maradona’s greatest moments in new digital theme park in Barcelona
‘Diego Vive’ offers sensory and technological experience, photography, and replicas of trophies and shirts
"Sai perchè mi batte il corazon!"
A new exhibition has opened up in the heart of Barcelona bringing fans closer to who many consider the greatest footballer of all time, Diego Armando Maradona.
Visitors will get to relive some of the greatest moments in football history in a new digital theme park offering sensory and technological experiences based on the life and career of the Argentine legend.
Upon entry, visitors are met with a lifesize AI hologram of Maradona welcoming them to the exhibition, located within a tunnel showing videos and photographs of the footballer’s early life.
From there they will find a kitchen table and furniture unit made to be a recreation of El Pibe's first home in the Villa Fiorito neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
Act out Maradona’s famed goals against England in the 1986 World Cup; one of which is often heralded as the greatest goal ever scored, the other often said to be one of the most infamous moments of trickery ever seen on a pitch, the Hand of God.
At the ‘Diego Vive’ exhibit, fans will get to touch and take photographs with replica trophies Maradona won in his playing days, as well as replica retro shirts from throughout his career.
A photographic exhibition and a 20-minute 360-degree video show bring fans through Maradona’s personal and sporting life, including a recreation of his childhood home in Lanús.
‘Diego Vive’ is open Wednesdays to Sundays in the Sala Metrònom in the Barcelona neighborhood of El Born. Visits last around 50 minutes and tickets are priced at €12 for children and €21 for adults, but with discounts also occasionally available on the Diego Vive Tour website.
