Photo Forum Fest opens with world-class speakers and hands-on experiences
The three-day event at the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona, features over 50 exhibitors in 15th edition

Barcelona’s Photo Forum Fest is the event to attend for photography enthusiasts and professionals alike. Taking place over three days, the 15th edition of this photography festival is a paradise for those who love the art of photography, offering talks, exhibitions, and hands-on experiences.
Eduard Casanova, manager of Casanova Foto and one of the event’s main organizers, describes Photo Forum Fest as "the great photography festival at its core." He emphasizes that the event is not just about showcasing products but also about fostering a deep appreciation for photography: "It’s three days full of talks, professional conferences, and, most importantly, the opportunity to see, test, and try out the latest innovations."
The festival started in 2010 with a focus on wedding photography. "We haven’t abandoned the wedding photography segment, it remains a key part of our event, but now we also cater to photography enthusiasts and incorporate all the major brands," Casanova explains.

With more than 50 exhibitors and over 40 talks, Photo Forum Fest is designed to engage both seasoned professionals and amateur photographers. Attendees have the opportunity to visit talks of world-renowned photographers, test the newest equipment, and participate in exclusive masterclasses.
One of the festival’s highlights is its lineup of its guest speakers, including Emilio Morenatti and Marco Grob. "Selecting the photographers we bring here is always a challenge, but thanks to our reputation, it has become easier," says Casanova. "Marco Grob, for example, hadn’t visited Spain in many years, but he’s here for four days, not just giving a talk but also conducting a masterclass for our attendees."
With last year’s edition attracting over 10,000 visitors and more than 1,000 professionals participating in congress sessions, the event continues to grow. "Our goal is to keep expanding while maintaining the high standards we’ve set," Casanova states. "It’s a challenge, but we’re committed to making this year’s event another great success."
