Barcelona's Moll de la Fusta, the seaside walkway beside the city's old port, will once again be a meeting point for bibliophiles this September.

The 41st edition of the Catalan Book Week will be taking place there from the 8th to the 17th, with over 300 activities and a record-high number of exhibitors: 287.

This year, in addition to the usual publishers and booksellers from Catalonia, Valencia, Andorra, and the Balearic Islands, there will also be members of the Northern Catalonia literary world.

The more than 300 activities include talks, book readings, book signings, literary walking tours throughout the city, as well as family-friendly events and concerts.

"The Catalan Book Week is the festival for the sector," Cristina Domènech, the event's director, said.

Writer Mercè Ibarz will be awarded the 27th Premi Trajectòria for her career, while musician Roger Mas will receive the 2023 Premi Difusió for outreach.
