Mamma Mia! The Musical returns to Catalonia
Globally beloved musical to be performed in Sant Cugat del Vallès and Manresa, after three successful years in Madrid

Mamma Mia! The Musical is scheduled to return to Catalonia with performances in the cities of Sant Cugat and Manresa by the end of the year.
The show will premiere at Sant Cugat's Teatre Auditori, just northwest of Barcelona, from October 23 to November 2, 2025. A few days later, Mamma Mia! The Musical will move to Manresa's Teatre Kursaal, in central Catalonia, from November 20 to 23, 2025.

This latest version of Mamma Mia! The Musical features a spectacular set design, newly arranged musical numbers, and fresh choreography, while still preserving the charm that has captivated millions. A 27-member cast will bring to life the well-known characters of Donna, Sophie, and the three possible fathers, ''delivering a performance filled with humor, emotion, and energy'' as said by the producers.
Since its debut, the musical has become a worldwide phenomenon, seen by over 70 million people and translated into more than 15 languages. Featuring ABBA’s greatest hits. The 2008 film adaptation, starring Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried, further cemented its legacy.
In Spain, Mamma Mia! has been a massive success since 2004. The first Spanish production ran for over 2,000 performances and was seen by more than two million spectators. With three different productions over two decades, Mamma Mia! has become the longest-running musical in Spanish theater history.
The story revolves around Sophie, a young woman about to get married, who invites three men from her mother’s past to her wedding, hoping to uncover the identity of her father. Set against the backdrop of a picturesque Greek island, the musical blends romance, nostalgia, and comedy, with unforgettable songs like Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, and Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

Produced by SOM Produce, known for bringing Matilda, Billy Elliot, and Grease to Spanish audiences, this new Spanish production of Mamma Mia! is expected to be a major theatrical event.
