Madonna confirms Barcelona concerts this fall following hospital scare
Singer postpones North American dates but pledges to begin European tour in October
Madonna took to Instagram on Monday evening to update fans on her health and Celebration Tour plans.
"The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in Europe in October," the singer, who was hospitalized due to a serious bacterial infection on June 24, wrote.
This means that her two sold-out Barcelona concerts are still set to take place on November 1 and 2 at the Palau Sant Jordi stadium.
The 64-year-old pop icon thanked her fans for all their "positive energy, prayers, and words of healing and encouragement."
She also stated that she did not want to "disappoint anyone" by canceling her tour and that her focus was getting back to health.
