La Fira del Poblenou beer festival returns to Barcelona
Outdoor summer craft beer event celebrates its 10th anniversary edition with over 60 breweries taking part
La Fira del Poblenou, one of Barcelona’s best beer festivals, returns this weekend for its first post-pandemic edition.
Held in the outdoor setting at the Parc del Poblenou at the bottom of Rambla del Poblenou, more than 60 brewers from Catalonia and around the world will come together for this summer celebration of craft beer.
In total, 35 breweries will be present for the full weekend’s programme, while a further 26 will take part on certain days on rotation taps.
As well as the beer, ten different food trucks will be present to help wash down the ale, and DJs will be performing throughout the three days of the festival.
Among the highlights of the Catalan breweries taking part are Garage, Montseny, Espiga, and Freddo Fox.
Basqueland, Dougall’s, and La Quince are some of the finest beer producers from around Spain who will be participating in La Fira del Poblenou.
Around the world, Stone from the US, Galway Bay from Ireland, Italians Birrificio Agricolo Baladin, and the Polish brewery Browar Stu Mostów are not to be missed.
The craft beer industry in Catalonia has been booming in the past decade, growing from strength to strength, and the return of festivals such as this one and the Barcelona Beer Fest after the pandemic underscores the importance of the trade here.
The Barcelona Beer Fest held its first version since Covid-19 disrupted our lives last December, and already has dates for its 2022 edition: October 14-16, in its usual location of La Farga in L’Hospitalet.

La Fira del Poblenou takes place July 1, 2, and 3 along Passeig Calvell, between Parc del Poblenou and Rambla del Poblenou.
Entry, including your festival glass, costs €5 (or €4 if you arrive before 5 pm) and is valid for the full weekend.
