J.A. Bayona's 'Society of the Snow' nominated for Best Non-English Language Film at Golden Globes
Catalan director's latest film hits theaters this week and Netflix in January
Catalan director J.A. Bayona's latest film, 'Society of the Snow,' has been nominated for best non-English language film at the Golden Globes.
The film, about the 1972 Uruguayan rugby team that survived a plane crash, will be released in Spain on December 15 and will be available on Netflix on January 4.
Bayona will compete for the award against Justine Triet's 'Anatomy of a Fall,' Celine Song's 'Past Lives,', Aki Kaurismäki's 'Fallen Leaves,' Matteo Garrone's 'Io Capitano' and Jonathan Glazer's 'The Zone of Interest.'
The Golden Globes will be held on January 7, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.
