Barcelona (ACN). - The latest album work from the Catalan band Manel is the Best Spanish Album in 2011 according to iTunes Rewind. The Apple index, which every year puts together a list of the best selling audiovisual contents for their online store, places ’10 milles per veure una bona armadura’ (’10 miles to see good armour’) at the top of the album list in the country. Since its release, the second musical work of the Barcelona group has not ceased to receive awards, taking the baton for their debut album, ‘Els millors professors europeus’ (‘The Best European Teachers’).

Martí Maymó, Arnau Vallvé, Guillem Gisbert and Roger Padilla are the four members of the Catalan band Manel. Since their debut in 2007 as a group at the Catalan modern music festival Sona9, Manel has impressed with their combination of pop and traditional music sung in Catalan. They like to consider themselves urban musicians, although folk influences can be heard in their music. The interesting title of their album refers to a phrase that appears in the film adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ directed by Kenneth Branagh.
