With the arrival of the good weather again, the Picasso Museum is changing back to its summer opening hours, opening earlier and closing later.

For another year, the museum is also offering free admission on three evenings a week.

From April 15 to October 12, the Picasso Museum will be free to visit on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 7 pm to 9 pm, without the need for prior reservation.

For the summer period, the museum will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am. The museum will close at 9 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 8 pm on Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The summer hours and free admission will be accompanied by guided tours in Catalan, also free but with reservation, with the aim of bringing the museum closer to the locals.

Second year of free evenings

During the summer season of 2024, the Picasso Museum wanted to become more accessible to the local public.

During the months of good weather, the campaign for free admission on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays was launched so that interested members of the public could visit the collection and the current temporary exhibition free of charge.

20% of the total visitors who came during these free time slots were from Barcelona, the Barcelona area, and the rest of Catalonia.

In addition, the survey carried out verified that young people between 20 and 39 years old were the largest group to visit the museum during these hours.
