The second edition of the Brunch Electronik Festival is swiftly approaching, and the event will take place from August 9 to 11 in three different sites across Barcelona.

Organizers launched the event as "the third large music festival of the year in Barcelona," a statement reads, as it will have nine stages in all its locations and will welcome around 70,000 people.

During 2024, Primavera Sound saw 268,000 spectators, the Sónar electronic music festival saw 154,000 attendees, and 77,000 festival-goers attended the Cruïlla during the second weekend of July.

Among the headliners for this year's Brunch Electronik Festival are South African DJ Black Coffee, German DJ and record producer Boris Brejcha, German musician Dixon, Argentinian DJ Hernan Cattáneo, English Fatboy Slim, and Ivory Coast cousins living in Paris: The Blaze.

Cattáneo, for example, will play a never-seen set in collaboration with Dixon.

Overall, there will be around 90 artists that "reflect on the current trends of electronic dance, great classics, modern starts, rising artists, future musicians, as well as local talent," the text reads.

Of these, 32 will be female artists, and 29 will be from Spain or Catalonia.

The event will take place in the Parc del Fòrum, where the best DJs and international bands will perform, while on Sunday, Black Coffee will take the stage in the Jardins de Joan Brossa in the Montjuïc mountain. Organizers expect around 9,000 people to follow this set.

For those looking to continue dancing, the Nitsa Club will be the official venue for after-party celebrations.

"Brunch Electronik Festival is our yearly sweet treat as we can plan all music genres: techno, house, disco, indie…," Loïc Le Joliff, co-founder of the event, said during a press conference in Barcelona.

"It is a festival that lets people dance; there is not a diverse line-up as this one, and with this much coherence," he added.

During the days of the event, people will have an "open set" stage, where festival-goers will have 40 minutes to offer a DJ set to those attendees.

"Everyone can enter with food, there are water fountains, there are no queues neither in the bars nor the toilets," François Jozic, another co-founder, added about the queues and the bottlenecks reported some years ago in Primavera Sound.

A novelty in the second edition of the Brunch Electronik Festival is the addition of three sports lessons: Yoga, HIIT Pilates, and cross-training.

The festival will include a 'No Callem' information and aid point for sexual assault cases.

Tickets are available online starting at €49,90.
