Barcelona's L'Auditori classical music venue will hold a 'Concert for peace' on March 30, with all funds going to the International Red Cross efforts in Ukraine.
Musicians and singers, including famed conductor Jordi Savall, from the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC), the Franz Schubert Filharmonic, or the Liceu Conservatory, among others, have banded together to form what they have called the Orchestra and Choir for Peace.
The Orchestra and Choir for Peace will perform Valentin Silvestrov's Prayer for Ukraine, The Bogatyr Gates from Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Samuel Barber's Adagio, Arvo Pärt's Da pacem domine, Morgen! Op. 27/4 by Richard Strauss, Nimrod Adagio by Edward Elgar, Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony (4th movement), and Xavier Montsalvatge's El cant dels ocells madrigal.
Tickets for the event, which begins at 8 pm, are already on sale and cost €15 to €25.
