Barcelona hotel rooftop week back from June 10 to 19
56 establishments take part in initiative with over 150 activities, including exhibitions, visits, concerts, and cocktail masterclasses
The Barcelona hotel rooftop week is back for its tenth edition between June 10 and 19.
56 such establishments will offer over 150 activities, including cultural, musical, and gastronomic experiences, on their rooftops and other open-air spaces.
Organized by the Barcelona association of hotels (Gremi d'Hotels), the initiative aims to get locals to discover new spaces in their city.
All activities are free, and some need prior reservation – yet, for those with no need to book in advance, organizers recommend arriving well before the event because they may have limited capacity.
Hotels such as Catalonia Ramblas, H10 Port Vell, Cotton House, Mandarin Oriental, Meliá Barcelona Sky, and The Hoxton Poblenou will be available – most of them are in the center, between Rambla Catalunya and Passeig de Sant Joan, including La Rambla, Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia iconic spots.
All sorts of activities
The activities offered include exhibitions, visits, concerts, cocktail masterclasses and events for children.
For instance, Novotel Barcelona City will display a photography exhibition on the neighborhood of Poblenou, whereas Sonder DO proposes another show combining photos and music.
Cotton House, ME Barcelona, Gallery Hotel, Iberostar Selection Passeig de Gràcia, Kimpton Vividora Hotel, and Barcelona Pricess offer a session of yoga, while Eurostars Grand Marina, Almanac Barcelona, Vincci Mae and H10 Universitat have scheduled live jazz.
Renaissance Barcelona Hotel and HCC Moritz have organized a tribute concert to Amy Winehouse, and HCC Regente will host one to Aretha Franklin, with other establishments offering music from other Barcelona residents, such as Malacara Blues Band and Danny Loops.
NH Collection Barcelona Gran Hotel Calderón, The Barcelona EDITION, Gran Hotel Havana, Royal Passeig de Gràcia, and Hotel España Ramblas will offer cocktail masterclasses, with others planning on focusing on the art of making a good gin & tonic.
Other masterclasses and workshops include Jimmy Boyd on perfumes, Skin Care at Yurbban Passage Hotel & Spa, and one on rice and fideua.
All activities can also be checked on the app Diskover.
