The presence of the Catalan language continues to grow on streaming platforms.

Now, 9.7% of all titles have either audio, subtitles, or both options available in the language.

These figures come from the desdelsofà.cat database obtained by the Catalan News Agency, and were up to date by March 21.

The data show a sustained increase since 2022 when the percentage was around 4%.

In the last three years, the number of series and films offered in Catalan have doubled. This increase is mainly down to the incorporation of dubbing, to a greater extent than the original versions, according to desdelsofà.cat.

The website notes that of the total 68,349 titles (not necessarily all different ones) available on the catalogues of the ten main streaming platforms, such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, 6,659 are available in Catalan.
