'A House On Fire', also known by its Catalan title 'Casa en flames', is becoming the latest Catalan language cinema hit

The film, by Dani de la Orden, has sold more than 150,000 cinema tickets throughout Spain, taking in more than €1 million since its box office premiere on June 28, and has remained in the Comscore Top 10 for four weeks.

'Casa en flames' has also become the second-most popular Catalan language film of the past decade, only behind the internationally-acclaimed 'Alcarràs,' which won the Golden Bear award at the Berlinale International Film Festival in 2022, which sold 269,495 cinema tickets during its run on big screens.

In the last weeks, 'A House On Fire' surpassed 'Incerta glòria', by Agustí Villaronga, and 'Estiu 1993', by Carla Simón, in terms of ticket sales.

The success of 'Casa en flames' comes at the same time as the commercial success of the Catalan dubbing of 'Inside Out 2'.

'Casa en flames' is the latest film by Catalan director Dani de la Orden, a dramatic comedy that delves into the reunion of a middle-class Catalan family on a weekend on the Costa Brava.

Emma Vilarasau leads the cast, joined by Enric Auquer, Clara Segura, Alberto San Juan, Maria Rodríguez-Soto and Macarena García, among others.
