8,500 attend The Who’s first Barcelona gig in 60-year career
Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey accompanied by Vallès orchestra in concert packed with classics
Iconic British rock band The Who made their Barcelona fans wait 60 years, but on Wednesday, they finally played in the Catalan capital for the first time in their career.
The concert played at Palau Sant Jordi, was a blast, with Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, and the rest of the band performing an array of classics such as 'Pinball Wizard', 'We’re Not Gonna Take It', 'Who Are You' before closing the night with 'Baba O’Reilly’.
The Who chose Barcelona as their only stop in Spain during the European part of their world tour, 'The Who: Hits Back,' and they shared the stage with the Vallès orchestra, offering a symphonic performance.
Around 8,500 attendees enjoyed the classic ‘60s and ‘70s rock, with other legendary songs such as 'Overture' and '1921', both part of the album named 'Tommy.'
