The Catalan president, Quim Torra, attended day 6 of the Catalan trial in the courtroom on Thursday, and at lunchbreak, he stated that "the civil independence movement is being judged" during the session.

On court on Thursday the former head of the civil organization ANC, Jordi Sànchez, gave his testimony, and it is expected that Jordi Cuixart, the president of another grassroots group, Òmnium, will take the floor in the afternoon.

Torra said he identified himself with Cuixart because he used to be the leader of Òmnium before the prosecuted leader.

According to the Catalan president, Sànchez "has dismantled one by one the arguments of the fake accusations of violence in the independence movement."
