Vueling has scheduled 16 million seats on journeys to or from Barcelona airport next summer.

This is 9.1% more than last year’s offer from the airline, according to a statement from the company.

The group will also increase its fleet at the facilities in the Catalan capital with three more aircraft, which will serve to “reinforce key routes” and open new international ones, which they plan to announce “in the coming weeks.”

In total, the airline says it will connect Barcelona with 90 destinations, 70 international and 20 domestic.

The forecast is that during the summer the number of seats on international routes will grow by 13.5%, while the domestic market will grow 3%.

Vueling is the main operator at Barcelon-El Prat airport.

The increase in seats comes after the airport operated at near its maximum capacity in 2024, with a new annual record of passengers.
