Vueling has canceled more than 200 flights either arriving to or departing from Barcelona airport this weekend.

The company was forced to cancel the flights due to the striking Iberia ground staff in the Catalan capital’s airport, with the strikes in effect from Saturday until Tuesday, covering Barcelona’s biggest street festival, La Mercè

The airline has announced the cancellations ahead of time to try to "cause the least disruption" to its customers. Vueling regrets the cancellations and says the strike is "totally out of the hands" of the airline.

On Thursday, Vueling admitted that it was considering changing its handling service in the airport away from Iberia as a result of the effects of the strikes. Vueling and Iberia are from the same business group, IAG.
