United Airlines expands Barcelona routes with daily flight to San Francisco
Direct service to Californian city will be available every day from May to October

United Airlines is expanding its Barcelona routes with a daily flight to San Francisco.
Starting in 2024, the carrier will operate a direct flight between the Catalan and Californian cities every day from May to October.
This new route will complement existing services: the year-round Barcelona-New York direct flight, and the seasonal Barcelona-Chicago service, which began in May this year.
With this addition, the company aims to compete with Level, which is the only U.S.-based carrier connecting the Catalan capital directly to the West Coast. United Airlines has also announced a 30% increase in flights from Spain next year.
The new Barcelona-San Francisco service will be operated with the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, which is designed to seat a total of 276 passengers.
