Spain's inflation falls to 2.8% in July
Second consecutive month of declines, driven by significant reductions in electricity and food prices
Inflation in Spain fell by six-tenths to 2.8% in July, according to preliminary data published on Tuesday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).
This decrease is mainly due to a significant drop in electricity and food prices compared to last July.
Prices for leisure and culture increase, but at slower rates than in 2023.
With this drop, inflation has fallen for two consecutive months, following increases in March, April and May.
Core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food, fell by two-tenths to 2.8%.
