Ninth edition of Bizbarcelona targets 14,000 visitors
Fair in Catalan capital devoted to entrepreneurs and small businesses will feature 70 exhibitors and 200 activities on June 12 and 13
June 12 and 13 will see the ninth edition of Bizbarcelona, the fair devoted to entrepreneurs and small businesses held in the Catalan capital, with some 70 exhibitors and 200 activities.
Featuring talks, presentations, consultancy sessions and networking spaces, this year's event is expected to attract some 14,000 visitors over the two days it lasts.
“Bizbarcelona will have all the possible tools for positioning oneself in this competitive world in which we live," said Bizbarcelona director, Aleix Planas, at the presentation this week.
This year's event will be split into three areas: 'Bàsics' will cover everything needed to get a business off the ground, 'Creixement' will deal with finance and funding, and 'Tendències' will tackle the changes taking place in such areas as technology, society and cities.
Top experts and CEOs among speakers
Among the speakers at the event will be such big names in the business world as the RocaSalvatella president Genís Roca, journalist Milagros Pérez Oliva, former head of Google America Olga Sanjacinto, and author of the book Winners Pablo Foncillas.
Also talking at the event will be leading figures with experience of setting up businesses, such as the founder of Red Points Josep Coll, the CEO and cofounder of Libelium Alicia Asín, and the CEO and founder of DP & Associates Donna Pace.
Meanwhile, the Bizfranquicias section will bring together stands from different business brands as well as leading consultants in such sectors as food, hostelry, fashion and services.
The event will also feature the award of different prizes, such as those for the Creamedia program, as well as the ‘Reempresa’ awards for the Barcelona area.
