Microsoft to employ 250 workers in new Barcelona digital sales hub 

Office part of technology company’s network in Europe, Africa and Middle East

Microsoft has already hired 44 people for its new digital sales hub in Barcelona and expects to reach 250 employees in the coming months. 59% of the current team of professionals being women.  

According to a company statement, they are looking for profiles such as solution specialists, cloud architects, and technical specialists. All job openings are available on the Microsoft Careers website.  

David Hernández, Director of Enterprise at Microsoft Ibérica, emphasized that "Choosing Barcelona as the location for this new center reflects Microsoft's commitment to supporting the development of the region’s digital talent and strengthening the city's appeal as a technology hub for professionals across Europe." 

The company provides services to businesses in 13 European countries, including Spain, providing services in ten languages.  

The center in the Catalan capital completes EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) regional network, alongside Microsoft’s existing offices in Dublin and Cairo.  

Barcelona: A growing hub for digital talent 

Barcelona is one of the most dynamic cities for digital talent. Hosting events like last week’s Mobile World Congress and Talent Arena.  

The latest Digital Talent Overview Report, published by Mobile World Capital, shows that the city has over 122.000 digital professionals. With a 12% increase of digital professionals joining the workforce in 2023 compared to the previous year.
