Inflation in Catalonia, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), remained steady in June at 3.6%, according to figures published on Friday by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE).
This is the same year-on-year variation that was recorded last month.
Inflation in Catalonia is two tenths of a percentage point higher than in Spain as a whole (3.4%), where prices fell two tenths of a percentage point in the last month due to cheaper fuel and food, especially olive oil.
Core CPI, which does not take into account the most volatile prices, rose to 3.3% in Catalonia, two tenths of a percentage point more than in May, and has now been on the rise for two months.
In Spain, core CPI remained at 3%.
