Higher electricity prices push inflation in Catalonia up slightly to 3.1% in February
Inflation increases for fifth consecutive month

Inflation in Catalonia rose to 3.1% in February, according to Consumer Price Index (CPI) data published by Spain's National Statistics Institute (INE) on Friday.
This represents an increase of one-tenth of a percentage point on January figures, when inflation stood at 3%.
It also marks the fifth consecutive month that inflation has risen.
The rise can mainly be attributed to the price of electricity and household products, which increased by 8.9%.
Core inflation, which excludes food and energy products, fell from 2.6% in January to 2.4% in February.
Spanish inflation for February was 3%, slightly lower than in Catalonia.
