EasyJet recovers Reus airport as destination in Catalonia with flights to Manchester and London
Airline to start operations in April 2024, while Jet2 will offer trips to Liverpool from May 2025
EasyJet, one of Europe's low-cost airline carriers, announced it will recover Reus airport as a destination in Catalonia, offering flights to Manchester and London Luton beginning April of next year.
The announcement, made by the Diputació de Tarragona regional administration, coincides with this week's World Travel Market fair taking place in London.
Both routes will have two return flights per week, one on Tuesday and one on Saturday. Tickets are already available online.
EasyJet had already connected London Luton and Reus airport in 2018 and 2019, before recovering flights in August 2020 for just one month, when it ceased operations because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Coinciding with the fair, tour agency Travel Solutions also announced its plans to link the Reus airport with Belfast, Northern Ireland, every Saturday from June 15 to August 24. It will do so through British Airways airplanes that have a capacity of 98 people.
Earlier this week, Jet2 announced its plans to increase its available seats from Reus airport by 13% in 2024 and by 17% the following year. Beginning May 2025, the same airline will offer a new flight connecting Liverpool, with tickets already on sale.
