Call of Duty videogame to be developed in Barcelona
Company Activision Blizzard will invest in the Catalan capital with a new studio
The company Activision Blizzard will set up a new studio in Barcelona, from where it will develop the videogame Call of Duty.
In a statement, the company explained that they want to expand its presence in Europe with the move.
The studio will be managed by Infinity Ward, part of the Activision Blizzard firm, acquired by Microsoft last May after the European Commission gave the green light to the operation.
The development of the popular videogame in the Catalan capital will be done by Digital Legends, which specializes in games for mobile platforms and has been operating in the city since 2002.
At the moment, Activision Blizzard has not specified how many jobs it plans to create with the move.
