Barcelona Wine Week's fourth edition welcomes more than 900 wine cellars
Organizers expect 20,000 visitors at Fira de Montjuïc from February 5 to 7
The fourth edition of the Barcelona Wine Week fair will see a record number of exhibitors, with 952 wineries from 73 Spanish Denominations of Origin (D.O.s) expected to attend the fair in the Catalan capital from February 5 to 7.
Organizers are expecting 20,000 visitors, including 650 key buyers from major supermarket chains such as Tesco (UK) and City Super (China), as well as major distributors such as American Northwest Distributors and Handcraftedwines (US).
During the three days of the fair, there will be 70 presentations and tastings where more than 160 renowned experts will analyze the future challenges of this key sector.
The event will take place at Barcelona's Fira de Montjuïc, with more than 7,200 square meters of exhibition space, representing a 15% increase in both the number of exhibitors and exhibition space from 2023.
The organization is already planning to expand its space for 2025 to meet the high demand from companies.
"The extremely high demand to exhibit at the fair confirms BWW as a unique event in Spain for the dynamization and internationalization of Spanish wine," said Celine Pérez, director of BWW.
