Barcelona airport continues to grow with 20% passenger increase
More than 42 million travelers between January and October

More than 42 million passengers visited Barcelona Airport between January and October of this year, according to the airport operator Aena.
That’s an increase of 20.3% compared to the same period last year.
In October alone, 4,587,103 passengers passed through the airport, an increase of 9.4% compared to the same month last year.
International flights have increased both for the month of October (12%) and for the year so far (23%), compared to figures from 2022.
Air traffic also increased by 6.2% in October and cargo flights reached 14,445 tons, 5.2% more than the same month last year.
All Catalan airports grow
Girona-Costa Brava Airport reached 1.5 million passengers between January and October of this year. In October alone, more than 190,000 travelers used the airport, an increase of 23.8% compared to last year.
Reus Airport, located 100 kilometers south of Barcelona, has surpassed the one million passenger mark since the beginning of the year, an increase of 14.4% from last year.
Sabadell Airport, located just ten kilometers from Barcelona, continued to grow in October with a 3.2% increase in passengers, but operations were down 8.4% compared to the same month last year.
