Jet2 plans to increase the number of flights and passengers for the 2025 summer season.
The airline has announced the opening of two new routes between the southern Catalan city of Reus and the British airports of Liverpool and London Luton.
To be launched May 4 and May 5 respectively, these new routes will represent an increase of 34,000 seats from Reus airport for this summer.
The company forecasts a 22% increase in the number of passengers at Reus for this year's season, from March 20 to November 2.
Girona
From Girona-Costa Brava Airport, Jet2 will offer 18% more seats than last year.
With direct flights to nine destinations in the UK, the company has already consolidated its presence as the number two airline at Girona in 2024, behind Ryanair.
This summer, Jet2 will be the only company to offer a connection between Girona and Scotland, to Glasgow, in addition to its exclusive route to Newcastle.
A new route from Girona to London Luton airport is set to open on July 6.
