Air China to recover direct flight between Barcelona and Shanghai from August 27
Airline completes return to pre-pandemic routes between Asia and Catalan airport
Air China will recover its direct flight between Barcelona and Shanghai from August 27 with three different weekly flights.
The airline will fly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
With the announcement, the Chinese airline completes its return to the routes available before the Covid-19 pandemic connecting Barcelona and Asia.
The company reported that flights to Beijing are now operated with larger aircraft than in 2019.
The company will use an Airbus A350-900 with 300 seats for those connecting Barcelona airport and Shanghai.
The flight will take off from Barcelona at 12:40 pm, and land in Shanghai at 6:50 am of the following day. The return flight will depart at 12:45 am, and arrive in Catalonia at 8:05 am.
According to Barcelona's Aerial Routes Developing Committee, the route is considered "strategic" as it promotes the relationship between Catalan and Chinese companies.
