1,500 visitors head to Tibidabo amusement park on first day of reopening
New health and safety measures in place at Barcelona's hilltop funfair
1,500 people enjoyed a day out at Barcelona's hilltop Tibidabo amusement park on Sunday as it opened its doors to the public once again, but not before putting in place new Civil Protection-approved health and safety measures.
Capacity is now capped at a third, meaning that only a total of 2,200 visitors can be at the park at any given point, and only outdoor rides – that is to say, 80% of the park's attractions – are up and running again.
In addition to this, everyone except for children under the age of 6 must wear face masks.
According to Rosa Ortiz, the amusement park's director, "all safety measures" are being complied with.
