Election night TV News: 'Jailed and exiled leaders get seats in EU election'
<p dir="ltr"><span>Puigdemont’s pro-independence Junts per Catalunya group won the EU election in Catalonia, getting 2 seats in the European Parliament. The Socialists came second, followed by Esquerra, which got 3 MEPs in their coalition with Basque and Galician parties. Unionist Ciutadans, left-wing Catalunya en Comú, the People’s Party and far-right Vox followed. In total, pro-independence parties received 49.7% of the share.</span></p> / ACN
