Barcelona will get to enjoy a partial lunar eclipse on Saturday night. The event is scheduled to start at 9:35 pm and will finish at 10:53, according to Spain's National Geographic Institute (IGN).

A partial lunar eclipse is when the Earth is between the sun and the moon, meaning that people will not be able to see a part of the moon for a short time.

On this occasion, it will be a very subtle covering, with the most covered part at 10:14:01 pm, according to IGN.

The best places to watch the eclipse will be in the countryside, where light pollution is less predominant than in city centers.

However, if Barcelona residents want to enjoy the phenomenon, they should go to sites such as Collserola mountain or next to Tibidabo amusement park, as well as Montjuïc. These are some of the best places to enjoy meteorological events, as light pollution is minimal.

The weather forecast is also something to keep in mind ahead of the partial lunar eclipse on Saturday night.
