Carles Puigdemont has been imprisoned since Sunday in Germany, where he is waiting for a judge to decide regarding his extradition to Spain, although his defense is optimistic he will be out soon. With Puigdemont in prison, all the candidates that have so far tried to become the next president are behind bars. And political parties in Catalonia are trying to decide how to move forward. Meanwhile, arrests keep coming: yesterday, three people that were accompanying Puigdemont when he was detained in Germany were arrested and interrogated by Spanish police. Amongst them, two Catalan police officers. The Catalan police leadership is also under the spotlight for its role during the independence process. / ACN
