The Spanish Foreign Affairs minister Alfonso Dastis said on Friday that the prison of Estremera in Madrid, where deposed Catalan president Carles Puigdemont would be sent if he is extradited to Spain and the justice decides to imprison him, "has amenities that not only prisoners, but also many people would like to enjoy."

According to Dastis, this is one of the main conclusions that can be drawn from the information that Spain sent to the Belgian justice on Thursday, which has yet to decide whether to execute or not an European Arrest Warrant for Puigdemont and the four dismissed ministers who accompany him in Belgium.

On Friday, a Belgian judge decided to adjourn the hearing until December 4 after speaking with Puigdemont and his ministers - Toni Comín, Clara Ponsatí, Meritxell Serret and Lluís Puig - for about an hour.

If extradited to Spain, they could face the same measures as eight ministers who stayed in Catalonia, who were preemptively sent to prison on November 2 accused of rebellion and sedition, among others.
