The deposed Catalan minister Clara Ponsatí appeared in court in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Thursday morning, to testify in regard to the European arrest warrant issued against her by Spain’s Supreme Court. On March 28, a Scottish judge did not set any precautionary measures on Ponsatí while her extradition process takes place. The Spanish government removed Ponsatí as head of the Catalan education department last October. She later moved to Scotland, where a few weeks ago she launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance her defense. Within only a few hours, she had already raised around 200,000 euros.
