London (CNA).- The famous exclusive project 'Dry Martini' by Catalan businessman Javier de las Muelas has opened its first bar in London. "It is very important to us to be in the world's capital of cocktails" stated Executive Director of the 'Dry Martini' Organisation, José Juan Balaguer. The venue is the first opened outside of Spain and is located in Melià White House Hotel, in the Regent's Park area. Besides the wide range of classic cocktails its menu also includes "Excentric and Signature cocktails" and "100 different Dry Martinis". The spirit of 'Dry Martini' project is "taking the bar experience to a higher level" stated Balaguer, who described the customer as "parishioner" and the bar as "a temple". The 'Dry Martini' venue in Barcelona is amongst the 'World's 50 best bars' and besides the Catalan capital is also present in Madrid, San Sebastián, Palma de Mallorca, Artíes and Begur.

"After many years looking for the right place we finally opened the first venue in London" stated Balaguer. The venue, located in Albany Street, in the Regent's Park area, recreates the spirit of 'Dry Martini's franchise and the atmosphere is taken care of down to the last detail. The bar has a 3 metre-long 'Mise en place' and next to it there is the iconic Martini counter, which keeps record of the number of cocktails served in the bar. The venue is decorated with exclusive furniture and brings together numerous masterpieces, such as paintings from Keith Haring and Matias Krahn.

For seven years in a row now, 'Dry Martini' Barcelona has been on the 'World's 50 best bars' list and is considered the best bar in Europe to achieve this. The concept of 'Dry Martini' is, according to Balaguer, "taking the bar experience to a higher level". "Many important things happen in bars" he assured "many choices have to be taken: where to go, who to spend such a moment with and what to drink".

With this in mind, 'Dry Martini' recreates the world's most famous cocktails but there is also room for "Excentric and Signature cocktails" besides the classics. The most complex and adventurous combinations are prepared in 'The Lab', an innovative space located at the end of the bar. Amongst the menu, there are more than 100 martinis, 80 gins and dozens of syrups to make the perfect cocktail.
