PortAventura theme park to get its first five-star hotel

‘Lucy’s Mansion’, an independent building inside the Gold River Hotel at the amusement park PortAventura in Tarragona, will be adapted into a five-star hotel.  PortAventura will be twenty years old this season and the theme park wants to celebrate it by moving into the highest level.  The new hotel will be inaugurated on 2nd April  with twenty-eight deluxe rooms and two suites. At the same time, PortAventura will build a new building inside the Gold River Hotel named ‘Callaghan’. This new four-star hotel will be the biggest establishment of the park with seventy-eight rooms and will be inaugurated on 1st June. The development of the hotel complex confirms the strategy of PortAventura to consolidate its position as the best familiar leisure destination in Europe.

Vila-seca and Salou (ACN).- PortAventura will enter into the high-level market niche with the adaption of one of its hotels into a five-star establishment. ‘Lucy’s Mansion’, an independent building inside the Gold River Hotel, will be inaugurated on 2nd April with nearly thirty deluxe rooms and two suites. At the same time, coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of the theme park, PortAventura will build a new building inside the Gold River Hotel named ‘Callaghan’. This new four-star hotel will be the biggest establishment of the park with more than seventy rooms and will be inaugurated on 1st June, ahead of the summer season. The development of the hotel complex confirms the strategy of PortAventura to consolidate its position as the best familiar leisure destination in Europe.


PortAventura is going to celebrate its twentieth anniversary this year with the development of its hotel complex. ‘Lucy’s Mansion’ will be a five-star hotel decorated as a Victorian house and the Gold River Hotel will have a new building named ‘Callaghan’. These two projects, added to the new attractions of ‘Ferrari’ and ‘Cirque du Soleil’, and the offer of complementary services, such as three golf courses and the Beach Club, confirm that PortAventura wants to be an option for all audiences, included the customers with more purchasing power. With 4 million domestic and international visitors, PortAventura is one of the most important amusement parks in Europe.
