Up to 37 designers and fashion brands reveal the most popular fashion trends in Barcelona. The 20th edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion opened on Monday with children’s clothing brands Bóboli and Little Creative Factory first on the catwalk, followed by the designs of Daniel Rosa and Krizia Robustella. Until June 30, visitors will be able to enjoy the latest work by Catalan designers in one of the most iconic venues in the city, the Art Nouveau Hospital de Sant Pau. "We support the 080 because it is a very effective way to promote the sector," said Business and Knowledge Minister Jordi Baiget.

Spring-summer collections for 2018 are the main attraction at the show, where on Monday designers Miquel Suay and Antonio Miró also presented their work. The 080 Barcelona Fashion show aims at demonstrating the world-potential of Catalan fashion brands, according to the director of the fair, Miquel Rodríguez, who said the country is "leading" the way in fashion. "It is a very good opportunity to internationalize our brand," added Bóboli CEO, Arancha Algás.

This year's edition, will also be an opportunity to get to know the work of emerging designers, such as Mietis, Jnorig, Colmillo de Morsa and AMT, for the first time. "Being here is a boost because the fair already has a reputation and this helps us," said Daniel Rosa, who won this year’s National Prize on Emerging Design.

Besides the catwalks, the 080 Barcelona Fashion show will also include parallel events, such as the 4th edition of the Barcelona Fashion Showroom, the 080 Investor Day, the International Forum for Investment in the Fashion Industry and the Textmeeting by Textor 2017. These will all be opportunities for professionals from the fashion sector to meet and discuss new business opportunities. Finally, young students of design and photography will compete at the Neo 2 Photo Shoot for the best Fashion Picture.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the 080 Barcelona Fashion has also planned cultural activities, such as a concert by Andrea Motis and the presentation of choreographer Rafael Amargo’s brand.
