Over 200k enjoy Barcelona Museum Night

The 82 cultural centres, galleries, musuems, and creation spaces throughout the Barceona metropolitana area that participated on May 19 in the city’s Museum Night welcomed over 200,000 visitors. In total, 203,043 people walked the streets of the Catalan capital, often armed with a map and a program schedule, to enjoy the cultural offerings on display from the evening until after midnight.

According to the Barcelona Cultural Institute (ICUB), organizer of the event, the institute that received the most visitors was the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA), with 13,640. Then comes the modernist icon of Sant Pau at 10,137, the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) at 9,934. The various parts of the Barcelona City History Museum (MUHBA) saw a total of 12,984 attendees. High visitor numbers also include those at the Hospitalet Museum (9,862) and the four centers of the Badalona Museum (6,997).
