Madrid (ACN).- According to a report by Adecco and Infoempleo, qualified professionals are paid more in every category in the Community of Madrid. Madrid-based professionals are paid 2.24% more than in Barcelona, 5.15% more than Bilbao and 20% more than in València.

Moreover, as a result of the crisis, the rise in interregional convergence of salaries has come to a halt. There was an increase in salary and wage differences for the 2008-2009 period, and after reaching Madrid’s levels, Catalonia’s capacity to pay technicians and head staff decreased.

Qualified professionals have the most influence when it comes to salary differences. The average salary in the private sector for Spain in 2009 was 1,858 euros, considering both qualified and unqualified professionals.
