The Catalan Agency of Tourism and Football Club Barcelona are working together to promote Catalonia as a tourist destination. FC Barcelona’s Asiatic tour will provide an opportunity for residents in Korea and China to discover the attractions of Catalonia. As one of the best ambassadors of their country, Barça's footballers will wear t-shirts with a logo of Catalonia.
Football supporters in Asia will watch promotional videos of Catalonia before the friendly matches between their teams and Barça take place. Barça is playing against K League, from Seoul, in South Korea on August 4th. Four days later, on August 8th, they will play against Guoan, from Beijing, in China.

Besides the football events in Asia, the Catalan Agency of Tourism will also make presentations on the most interesting places to visit in the region, in a move to attract Asiatic tourists to Catalonia.

The collaboration between Barça and the Catalan Agency of Tourism is not new. In previous years, both organisations have worked together in promotional events in Paris, London, Glasgow, Milan and Tokyo.

FC Barcelona tends to be considered as “more than club”. In fact, Barça is usually identified with Catalonia, and it is one the institutions that most contributes to the country’s international recognition.
