The Catalan economy is expected to grow by 0.83% in the first quarter of 2018, while gross domestic product for Spain as a whole is set to rise by 0.77% in the same period. The figures released by AIReF are an adjustment to its previous forecasts. The estimates for Catalan GDP have been raised thanks to the sustained economic growth of recent months, while those for Spain as a whole stay the same.
